Amestris vs. Xing: Two Views of Power

In the series, Amestris and Xing represent two very different ways of using power. Amestris is more militaristic and aggressive. Power is used to control, expand, and dominate.

On the other hand, Xing has a different approach. Alkahestry, their version of alchemy, is more focused on healing and understanding the flow of life. It feels more balanced and respectful.

This contrast is interesting because it shows that power itself is not good or bad. It depends on how people use it. The same knowledge can be used to destroy or to heal.

Another difference is the motivation behind power. In Amestris, power is often connected to the State and war. In Xing, it is more personal, like the search for immortality or improving one’s clan.

This makes me think: is power something that corrupts people, or does it reveal who they really are?
