Why I Didn’t Connect to FMA Like One Piece

Even though Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is a masterpiece, I did not connect to it as much as I expected. Especially when I compare it to One Piece.

One reason might be the length. One Piece is much longer, so we spend more time with the characters. This makes it easier to build a stronger emotional connection.

Another reason could be the tone. FMA is more serious and focused. It tells its story in a very structured way. One Piece feels more free and emotional in some parts.

This does not mean one is better than the other. They are just different experiences.

Maybe timing also matters. When you watch something can change how you feel about it.

So even if I respect FMA a lot, it did not hit me in the same way. And I think that’s okay.
